Our Story
Healthy Paws is a woman owned business based in Southern California and we are crazy about the care and help of animals. What started out as a hobby turned into a business with the motivation to get these nutritious and delicious treats available to all dogs of all ages and help them be stronger every day.
Alissa Crockett, Founder and CEO, has been an entrepreneur at heart since childhood. She has spent the past 20 years in consumer products, developing strategies to grow brands and partnering with retailers domestically and internationally. Her professional experience spans from being a partner in a small startup where she launched new brands to working for large global companies whose portfolio spans across human and pet foods. Alissa was honored to be featured in the Women of Influence in the Food Industry in 2019 by The Griffin Report.
Remi & Zoey
In 2013, she expanded her family with Brian, her husband, and became pet parents.
“As new parents when we brought Zoey, our English Bulldog, home we wanted nothing but the best for her and that started with what she ate. We quickly learned she was sensitive to grains. A few years later when Remi, our French Bulldog, joined our pack we noticed he was susceptible to dry and itchy skin. At this point Zoey was entering her later years and was having some hip and knee issues. We went on the hunt to find organic, grain free treats that would help us with Remi's skin and Zoey's aging hips and joints. We couldn't seem to find what we were looking for, so we jumped in the kitchen and started working on our own recipes in a variety of flavors and benefits. And they are tail waggingly great!"
